Recombinant monoclonal antibody to Human VEGF is an angiogenesis inhibitor, a drug that slows the growth of new blood vessels. It is licensed to treat various cancers, including colorectal, lung, breast (outside the USA), glioblastoma (USA only), kidney and ovarian. Bevacizumab is a humanized monoclonal antibody that produces angiogenesis inhibition by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). VEGF-A is a chemical signal that stimulates angiogenesis in a variety of diseases, especially in cancer.

Western blot analysis of TAB-011 was performed by loading Human VEGF165 Protein (His Tag) onto a 12% Tris-HCl polyacrylamide gel. Proteins were transferred to a CN membrane and blocked with 5% skim milk for at least one hour. Membranes were probed with TAB-011 and HRP Goat Anti-Human IgG as a secondary antibody. Chemiluminescent detection was performed.

ELISA analysis of TAB-011 was performed by coating with Human VEGF165 Protein (His Tag). Then blocked with BSA, and incubated with TAB-011. The HRP-conjugated goat anti-human IgG as a secondary antibody. Detection was performed using TMB substrate and stopped with sulfuric acid. The absorbances were read on a spectrophotometer at 450 nm.
